During the research done for “The Scarred Landscape”, the importance of material reuse and repurposing became an integral part of the design approach. In order to reduce material waste, either during extraction, construction or after demolition, it is important to look into reusing those off cuts and extra materials to produce new building components. Here, I am looking at using the rubble or smaller parts of the stone all the way to the dust in order to experiment with making a structural building block.

This experimentation took place at the Local Works Studio workshop
